It is always a joy to see our customers at the farm shows! We just finished up with the summer schedule and the interaction between our existing customers and prospective customers is fun to hear. Some will go into great detail about their experiences and others will say “Just buy it” and “I wished I would have done it sooner”. And then there are the funny comments. One customer exclaimed, “You could be buck naked and not get a drop of chemical on you!” While we cannot condone this type of behavior of not wearing the proper personal protective equipment it does say a lot about the safety of Mixmate.
One of my first memories of spraying was my Dad mixing wettable powder atrazine in a bucket and then pouring it into the sprayer. The product didn’t mix well and he used his bare arm and hand to stir it up. Thankfully I still have my Dad but this is not something we would do these days. One of our design goals was to be able to handle all of the chemicals easily and safely.
You may have just desiccated your crop with one of the nastiest chemicals we have and I know our customers have a much safer way to handle them. It gives me peace of mind knowing we can help.
